Course Introduction
The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) is the most comprehensive assessor qualification that is currently available. It qualifies you to assess learners in their place of work and in learning environments, workshops and classrooms which means you would be a fully qualified assessor upon completion.

What are the Entry Requirements?
You will need access to learners (we can provide the learners if necessary)
There are no specific entry requirements however learners should have a minimum of level two in literacy or numeracy or equivalent.
The qualifications are suitable for learners of 18 years of age and above.
How long does it take?
You set the pace. You choose when to start and how long you would like to complete the course. This qualification is described as taking 84 guided learning hours. Please use this as a guide and think about how many hours a week you are able to commit to studying. Total qualification time is 150 hrs. Whether it takes 9 weeks or 9 months is entirely up to you.
How Will I Be Assessed?
A combination of work-based assessments (observations/ professional discussion/ questioning/ witness testimonies) and written assignments. Assessment will be agreed prior to assessor visits.
All learning outcomes must be met to achieve a pass - there is no grading.
Will I Need To Attend Classes?
No, due to the Covid-19 lockdown your assessor will arrange some learning sessions online to suit your requirements and time constraints.
